Ok,

So the UPS man delivered my brand spanking new alternator the other day (gotta love winning drawings for parts when the wife is tightening the budget). And as I am installing it I am thinking that there has to be a better way. So I go to the old trusty ebay and there is a better way - but it has to be cheaper locally. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-Mustang-5-0-V8-Billet-Alternator-Tensioner-Bracket_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33588QQitemZ8049313763QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

The part I am wondering where to get locally is the tensioner. I don't know if they call those ends tie rod ends or heim ends or even what the middle part would be called (sorry - I am network geek and I am still trying to expand my automotive knowledge). But I would love an easy way to adjust the tension on my alternator without using a pry bar on the alternator and a second set of hands to tighten the lower adjustment bolt

Any help in finding the proper direction would be appreciated.

thanks,
dan
