Today was a good day.... LOTS done with the project...

Here is the stock location:

axle and springs removed:

Stock springs VS the 96 burb springs... they are 2" longer and the centerpin is 4.5" more to the rear... I remove the overload spring for flex:

Here is the Burb springs and 14FF installed... the rear shackle inversion bracket is not done... used the original one to get a good mounting location before I fab up the new one to be permanent:

Here are two GREAT helpers I have.... Cyndi (left) who are been a GREAT help with this every step of the way... she is AWESOME in the garage and not afraid to get dirty! :D and her good friend Mary (right). They are holding the flare in place where it will be installed:

As you can see... today was a good productive day :D

Brant,

I told my cuz about this site..hopefully he will sign up....

I have been working on the flares... massaging the small dings out of them prior to install.....

I have a GREAT bodyman that WANTS to do the work for me and with me when the time comes..... so I will get the rest done first:

1. drop T-case and replace busted adpater plate
2. Fix busted linkage
3. Replace right side king pin assy on D60
4. Order the RS5012's
5. Order new main tierod
6. Install new driveshafts and finalize pinion angle on the 14FF
7. Bleed brake system after No. 6 is done.
8. Order new 16x10 Eagle 589's when this knucklhead FINALY pays me for my old 15x12's

Just a bit of work to do ..not much.... :thumb:

Slow going....

Finished 1, 2 and 4 only.....

Went to hookup the re CV shaft and it is too short.... :angryfir:

I am sending it back to Arizon Drivelines for a lenghtening and have them put on a 1350 series slip yoke for me to bolt up directly to the 14FF... so I just wasted $40 on a 1310/1350 conversion u-joint!!! :angryfir:

Oh well... you live you learn...

EEEEEKKKKK!!!

MAN!!! this one ton stuff aint cheap!!!

GET THIS!!!

I called steve at Arizona Drivelines about lengthening my Rear CV shaft and fitting it with the 1350 slip yoke for the 14FF...

$175 !!!!

I only paid $250 for the brand new shaft... but he explained the different in size and that jacks the price up... I can undertand that....

I guess I need to sell some more kits now.... hahahaha

I posted my shaft for sale at IFSJA.... if it goes... I will order a complete new shaft from Arizona Driveline....

I talked to Steve.... Hybrid high angle 1310 CV with a 1350 4" slip yoke.... I would rather go this route than mod a perfect CV shaft that is set up for FSJ SOA....

I got my drivelines from Arizona and I will never go there again. they gave me this big speech about bullit proof drivelines and if I ever broke it, They would make it good. I've shattered mine three times and have basically had to buy new ones each time. Once I just needed a CVC housing and the guy there insisted that I send the whole thing in for a complete rebuild for $250! I argued them into just the pieces that I needed for $75 and fixed it myself.

The drivelines are decent units themselvs but they lied to me about what I was getting and then they didnt stand by it. :angryfir:

I would not of to Arizona Drivelines either I was helping a freind order a driveline first off it came about 2 weeks after they said it would I called and bugged them for a week everyday and they said we shipped it yesterday 4 times acutal ship date wasn't any of the dates they told me second it was the completely wrong driveline. When I order stuff I write down what I ordered they were wrong so we sent the wrong one back and they charged my buddys credit card for another driveshaft and didn't remove the other charge. The new one was wrong yet again. They said they would make it right so we tried again. This was in Feb they still have not made it "right" my buddy is fighting with them about the credit card charges they say they never recieved the first driveshaft back but shipping records show they did. Get your driveshaft local or from Tom Woods in Ogden UT. I got a drivshaft from him I screwed up on the measurement he lengthend it for free and fixed a broken CV Not a problem since :rotfl:

I have never had problems working with Steve at Arizona... OSCAR is the owner and he is a panty waste!!! I put Tom Woods and Oscar on the same pile of crap list.... I even called Denny Driveline and was asked WHY for a WAGONEER?!?!?! Everyone gave me a hard time except Steve....

Gotta think of it this way... this shaft survived Ouray with no damage... but I bent my D44s and busted my T-case adapter in half.... that to me says something....

I will say I was displeased with them in one area... they used NEAPCO joints when I told them not to....

I will do business with them again....
