I am trying to take a T18 out of an 87 Cherokee, 4.0L motor and put it in a 91 Wrangler with a 4.2L motor. The Cherokee had the Peugeot tranny originally and we used an Advance Adapter bell housing to make the switch. So. What do I need to do to make this conversion? The bell housings look the same, but the input shaft out of the Cherokee is shorter than the AX-15 input shaft that is coming out. (the difference is about an inch)?

Bell housings should work. the item you need is a special pilot bushing. Try Advance Adapters for the part. Everything else should work fine.

Thanks for the information. Looks like it should work.
