Definitely do it. Rust is easier to prevent than to stop. It's no fun to fix rusted out body panels either. I would suggest using some Por 15, I've heard really good things about it.

Nope, no rust underneath. I brought the truck back from Colorado where they don't use salt to St. Louis where they LOVE salt so I'm trying to protect it as much as possible.

I guess I'll scrub and treat as much as possible. Any areas seem to be particularly susceptible that I should concentrate on?

Bottom rear of front fenders (usually from trash building up behind the fender), rockers, 1/4 panels around the wheelwell, and the rear floor by the tailgate. And the places AJ also mentioned.
