Welcome to the board. :thumb:

Thats the aluminum radiator right? I have one in my Chevelle and it cools at least as well as the old 4 core unit. When my 4 core in the Blazer poops, I plan on going with an aluminum one myself. I bet you would be OK. The only thing is at that price, I bet its a universal fit and you might have to fool around with it some.

If you go electric fans, get them off of a Ford windstar van. They work awsome.

A 2 core Al radiator supposedly cools better than a 4 row Cu rad.

The theory that I have heard is that the 4 row creates more turbulance and the air sort of gets trapped inbetween the tubes. With the 2 row the airflow is slightly smoother and is more effecient. This is only what I have heard, but it makes sense to me.Of course, Al conducts heat much better than Cu.

I have heard of people even having better results with a 2 row Cu rad. than a 4 row in some Scouts.

A BB radiator from Autozone costs $160, IMO, you would be better off to spend the extra money for the Al rad. and possibly a little fab work and have a much better radiator.

I would also reccomend installing a big tranny cooler either way you go. It's easy to kill a tranny without one. :deal:
