What would yall suggest as a mud deflector? When I go muddin, mud cakes up in my gas tank skid plate all around the gas tank, on top of the frame rails, on top of the gas tank filler neck, and all really causes problems... :banghead:

I want something I can just attatch with some self-tapping screws, silicone over the screws, and be done with it...

I dont mind cleaning out fender wells... hell... thats half the fun of it... :thumb:

I just dont like having to drop my tank so often... :banghead:

What would yall suggest?

Buy a pressure washer other than that though the plastic doors they have in factorys and loading docks the ones that are cut into strips that stuff works well. Look in your yellow pages under plastic. Also look at dirt track cars if you can. Most racing magazines have advertisers that sell plastic used for exactly what you want in strips and many different colors. Hope that helps. Also any nonstick coating (like Pam cooking spray) helps when you clean the stuff off :rotfl: :rotfl:

Some of the people that I mud raced with cut out that convayer belt stuff and mad mud guards to protect the engine and other places. It worked out pretty good from what I saw.

I have thought about doing the same thing to protect the engine since I know have no inner fenders.

The way my Patrol is built, mud just cakes up EVERYWHERE in the rear fenders! Even on the wiring!

A power washer wont even get the mud out of the gas tank skid plate... Especially with our mud around here...
