I just read your message this morning. I'm pretty hyped up during the race, did we talk? I have a lot of folks coming up and asking questions so I'm sorry if I don't always make the connections I should. How'd you do?

yeah I said hi to you over by the sign in desk. Hey, funny story, the last time you went up with the paddle tires some dude was standing behind you when you launched. You covered him pretty nicely :thumb:

:rotfl: I learned a long time ago not to stand back there.....by getting a mud shower too

I have been meeting so many new people this year, it's been great. With the Mountain Home track opening up it has brought together a lot of great folks. We need to have everybody wear name tags saying who they are for us old farts who can't remember who is who. Sorry I didn't make the connection.

Sooo, you didn't say how you did. But the main question is: Did you enjoy yourself?

Oh I had a blast. I finished like 8th out of 9 in the stock class though, all terrains just don't cut it.

Great! That's the point...having fun. The very first time we raced, about 20 years ago in the old Stampede Fairgrounds, we had built an old '76 GMC 1/2 ton with 12" of lift and 44" swampers. The engine was a 350 with a mild RV cam. We got our butts kicked, but we were hooked from then on.

OK guys and Gals, this week is for getting ready for Saturday night racing. Sure hope I do better against the nitrous rigs this time. For some odd reason my boggers got me better times than my paddles did. Weird :? They have been starting us back a ways on the hard dirt and not in the mud and I think it's causing my paddles to not get traction as quickly. I think I'll put in a lower RPM chip to launch with and see if I can maybe come out of the hole better.

Anyone else coming?
