MILE MARKER HUBS??

1164 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  chevytruck75guy
yesterday i went to go service my wheel bearings and had a problem getting the hub undone. i have no experence with mile marker hubs so i don't know if there any different. here is my problem, i have a 1975 k10 with a 203, stock it didn't have hubs so i am quessing the guy before me installed them. i got the cover off and the snap ring that hold the main body in but when i tried to remove the main body it didn't want to come out. i could move it about a 1/4 of a inch but then seems to hang on something. is there a special part in side that i am missing. any comments are appricated.

screw two of the allen bolts in to the body and get pliers and pull on the bolts should come right out. :thumb:
There are two snap rings that have to move. The inner one that goes around the axle shaft, and then another one that clips into the outer housing right on the very end. Let us know how it goes.

Ya there are two and if you don't get the one that holds the hub body in the hub. Your going to have a hell of a time. :thumb:
