To say the least, I'm way behind as far as technology goes. ('98 Gateway PC, original Nintendo). Anyway, looking at deploying this fall, and wanted to join the MP3 crowd, and not carry a butt-load of CDs with me. I've seen these IPOD thingys out there, and you can store songs on and such, but need some help deciding which one would be best. Obviously I'd want one of the 30GB ones over just a 1GB model. But I've seen Nanos, and a few other brands. Is there a difference?

I guess one thing to consider, is my dinosaur PC, which I assume will be used to download all the songs I put on the thing. My system being a '98 Pentium II, may not like alot of downloading action.

A coworker mentioned there's a MP3 player that uses Windows Media files instead of MP3s, which he says may be easier to use.

Just wanted to ask around and see what I should go with before purchasing one. If anyone could go through the steps to find, and download songs onto one of these players, I'd be thankful.
