Justice was definitely served - now if only they could find Osama and do the same thing - this world would be a little better until the next sick bastard arises!!

Not lehis, that is good stuff, the moron that jokes about what you legally cannot joke about.
Really ? So is that the demcracy we are fighting for ?
I thought that was one of his rights under the constituion. He didn't threaten him in any way. Just asked if GW was next. Maybe done in bad taste. I don't care for GW either, but I know better then to go that far. There is a lot of divide out there right now, let him speak in an OPEN forum. I think it is Good to have Saddam out of circulation, but I think they should of waited until they had a legitmate Goverment in place. The whole Mideast considers the one in place a puppet government. Then after they get better security of their nation do what they will with him. To late now I guess though. I just hope the American boys don't get the brunt of this. Nate don't you ever question our motives and results so far ? Not a real good track record so far.
Go ahead and flame me fella if you like, but I just think we could of used these resourse to go get Bin Laden and been done with the worst of worst. I think it would of been a lot cheaper too. JMO !

With my comments prefaced that I am not a constitutional lawyer I would say that Gripguru is correct, but only because of the following.

The previous post did not at any point contain anything other than a 'xxx next?' If it had included something about policy or actions that would lead a regular citizen to be in the situation that would warrant the death penalty, than that would be a different matter all together. As with many things in life, I would say it is about the context of a statement. The previous post was not a criticism, but a blanket statement without the needed supporting comments.

I would agree that regular citizens are all allowed to, and duty bound to, question our leadership. But we do need to do it in such a way that the Secret Service does not end up on our doorstep asking us uncomfortable questions.

I tried to delete it, cause I realised that it was in poor taste.

Wasn't an option available to me (?)

I wholeheartedly apologize for making such a post in poor taste.

Regardless of his shortcomings, he is nowhere in need of a hanging, like a terrorist such as Saddam.

I have worked for people that fled that area when he took over, and the stories that they told were horrific.

Apologies.

And now I did what I should have done when I realised deletion wasn't an option. Thread had four views at that point.

That is all there is to it. Everyone has emotion, everyone has questions, we all need to talk shit and we need to vent. But we have to know better than to be an ass and shoot ourselves in the face. Ask questions that encourage productivity, just like you did. I will never tell people to STFU until they cross the line. Whether they listen to me or not, that is up to them, but I have to say something or I am not doing my part.

Also, I cannot stand our current president and I did not vote for him either.

but:
I know better then to go that far.

Light hearted attempt at humor, THAT OBVIOUSLY NEEDS TO BE CHECKED MORE SO THAN i ALREADY DO.
There is equal, or higher belief nationwide that 911 had less to do with Osama (I am not in defense of him or his actions, he IS slime) and more to do with Bush.

I guess I was just touching on that, and as often, my dry sarcastic pessimistic sense of humor has once again gotten me into trouble.

I WHOLEHEARTEDLY APPRECIATE , ADMIRE, RESPECT, AND SUPPORT THOSE WHO
UNDER ANY AND ALL ADMINISTRATIONS TO DEFEND MY RIGHT TO MAKE BAD JOKES FREELY.

INCLUDING THOSE STATIONED, THAT HAVE BEEN STATIONED OR WILL BE STATIONED IN IRAQ.

Let me tell you a story about shooting off my mouth then realizing I had did it thru School district e-mail. It made it from the school I sent it from to all of the Congressman and Senators in Idaho to the State Superintendents office to the School District Super Intendents office to the Quadrant Sup to the Principal in my school in less then a half hour. The irony here is that it was right before we invaded Iraq and I spout off with my opinion over district e-mail. That is the only time in 15 years I got in any kind of hot water, but with emotions running high at that time I was almost fired. I learned my lesson. I only spout off from my yahoo and home address now.
We have all done it at some point. No sweat !
Are you ready for some football :thumb:
OK and another hi-jack Sorry !:shame:

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you,, and, if so, I apologize, but anyone who thinks what happened on Sep. 11th is Bush's fault has a severely skewed view of the President and his power/responsibilities.

Now, I'll give my opinion on why I think we right to go into Iraq, and I will leave it at that. Bush told Hussein, and the rest of the world, that, if he didn't give UN inspectors full access to search wherever they needed, he would be taken out of power. He failed to do that and Bush kept his word (with the approval of the UN, the Senate and the Congress). It would have been very reckless of us to remove the government in Iraq and not help reestablish some form of stability there, so that is what we are attempting to do. Unfortunately there is a VERY small faction in the country that does not want a stable Iraq, and they are causing a very large disturbance. Hopefully that will change, but unless it changes soon I will probably be very busy if I go over there this summer.

Everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion, which is one of the things that makes this country so great. God bless the USA.

that was my point, or attempt at sick humor, and while not giving it credibility, I have seen a tape, with supposedly documented proof (not Fahrenheit911 either) that Bush set the whole thing up etc etc etc. Reason given he had a hard on to go to war to save out economy etc etc etc and needed an event of such atrociousness to catalize the American people into support of his desire to lead the war.

There is a whole thread on this over at www.toyotavanpeople.com, that takes it every way under the sun, like OMG every way.

Bottom Line I made an attempt at a joke that apparently was in poor taste, and it incited this.

Saddam needed to have been done away with, probably back during Desert Storm.
The Kuwaiti people have great respect for George senior for what he did for them.
Osama should be second on that list.

Whether Bush has done enough good to not be put on that list is irrelevent, as he is our president and commander in chief to our armed forces, that in itself commands enough reverance to not be made lightly of in a disrespectful fashion without bias, and for that I was wrong, and I apologize.
I would like (in another thread) to hear non biased view points from those that have been there, and those that serve, or have served with out Iraqi deployment in our armed forces about what they feel/see or saw and are at liberty to discuss.
(or simply pm me, or email to [email protected]
dooesn't even have to be a thread.)

You here about the philanthropy of Operation Crayola (school supplies to kids to aid in literacy) to Michael Moore's viewpoints, and everything in between from "monday morning quarterbacks" and I guess I would like an understanding of what is going on over there.

I am glad hussein is permanently out of power.

No matter if I agree, or dont agree, with what is happening in Iraq (and other countries).

I support our president (because he is just that) and most of all, I support out troops. They are fighting for our country, our freedom, and helping others achieve that as well.
