So here in a month or so I am warming up the plasma cutter and welder to start in on my next project. I picked up a 79' blazer for free :thumb:
I haven't decide if I am going to scrap the top and really start hacking.
I don't have a tow rig so I need to keep it mostly legal. I am planning on narrowing the front. If the top goes then it is full cage and a soft top. But then I might as well narrow the rear and have a custom top made. Where do you stop?????????

Thats what happened to me. I wanted to lose all of the body I could and still have a body. If I go any further, It will be like Watsons.

I really like what you did to yours. What are you going to do about a top? I don't care for the exo-cage but that is just my prefrence :thumb:

It looks better in person. The exo was the result of going through Upper Hell.

The doors still go on. I was going to put a bikini top on it and have like a rear bulkhead that snapped onto the cage behind the seats with a window in it. In real bad weather I just wont go. With the bikini top and the doors on, I should be able to get away with alot. Seems like I only go on a few snow runs anyway.

I need some top to cover the back that snaps on because I have kids that are going to sit in the back. I might just have to try my hand at canvas work :mrgreen:

My kids are just gettin older too. In a few years I might be extending that cage another loop. I'll be OK for now though. :mrgreen:

what are you talking about you don't have a tow rig. you're pulling all the cool parts off your truck right? Put it back together as a driver and there you go.

I say go extreme narrow the whole thing but I don't know how street legal it will end up being. I think if Sandman drives his around (wich I know he doesn't) he would get ticketed fast me thinks. State cops really hammer you on stuff like your tires sticking out. At least thats been my experince(6tickets over a 8year period just for not haveing or not having enough fender flare. Maybe consider the exo cage this will keep the body off stuff. Buy the way I need a free blazer :finger: so if you come across any let me know ok :rotfl: :rotfl:

I just drove it accross town and the cops didnt look at me twice. I'm going to see how it goes.
