So I am flat towing my junk to boise this weekend.:drive:

couple questions. is it worth putting small rollers (31inch) to save tire tread on my swampers? and the hassle of swapping them?

I am planning on pulling my rear driveline to keep the T-case from turning, but should I pull a shaft in the axle to keep the rear end free?

any other tips/tricks you all have would be appreciated.:deal:

see ya this weekend.

I flat towed with a spooled rear and had no issues. Pull the driveshaft, run at least 35 psi in the rear tires so they turn corners easier and you're golden.

For long distance trips i'd say it's probably worth it to swap a set of roller tires on. I didn't notice any bad wear on my txr's when I flat towed but then again the max I flat towed was about 100 miles round trip.

The only thing i'd caution you on is turning while slowing down. The extra weight behind you can push you through corners, especially on dort or wet roads.
