Exo / Roll cage tie in?

I have been planning on doing a partial front and rear exo cage with a full interior rollcage. It would make things easier if I tied them together but am unsure of how that would affect the body flex, etc.

So then I though about a complete exo cage, leaving the body free. But in a bad rollover I would not want the body to break free and squish me into the cage.

So, right now I'm looking at a separate exo system and a roll cage that are not connected. I would like to connect it all though.

Any Thoughts on this? Thanks.

I don't know why you would want both Matt, you just adding all the weight back you got rid of. I'm gong the exo route my self. You would have to have a really bad roll to get the body to seperate from the frame. Normally we don't those in crawling normally just a flop.
That is a good point.

Who is that person that hooked you and Brant up on the bumpers and bars. What does he charge?

His name is Steve, He is a member of Snake River. I'm not sure as to how much he would charge ya. I'm sure it would be pretty inexpensive compared to others. I can give ya his number if ya want. He has a shop in rigby.
C.B.I. Off-Road Fab. his phone number is 223-5650....just get ahold of him. Steve is really easy to work with and business is slow right now.
I gave him a call and he is the man! :thumb:

I'm going to have him do my cage, seat setup, front and rear bumpers, and side protection.

Thanks for the info.

Its not important for the body to flex seperately from the chassis. Atleast, Nissan must not have thought so when they bought my Patrol... the body bushings is just a 1/8" piece of rubber...
