Wild West Off Road and the Mtn Home ATV club sponsored a clean up at the sandwash off Grandview highway last month. Some members of most all local 4x4 clubs also attended. BLM was astounded at the results.
18,600 lbs of trash were gathered and hauled off.
11,000 lbs of metal was gathered and hauled off.
Numerous tires, etc. also hauled off.
This type of efforts show we care. Great job to all involved.

Yup it was a really good day. It took a while to get the numbers, BLM had a hard time coordinating the dumpsters and a work crew, but the nice thing was that BLM took care of the tires, and loaded up the left over metal, and Allied Waste delivered it to the recycler.

Thanks to everyone that came out and helped. Hope when next year rolls around that we will have better weather and more people.
