I need to buid a new draglink for the scout and I have a few questions.

Would it be strong enough if I use some 1" .156 wall tubing with 5/8" heim joints?

I'm also considering 1 1/8" .188 wall tubing with 3/4" or 5/8"heim. Would this be over kill?

Any other suggestions or advice would be great. I figured a heim joint would give me a little more room than the drag link end.

Someone on anther forum brought up a good point. Will the heims be able to handle the angles the drag link will see?

Different heims have different applications and strenghts You can get a cheap 3/4" heim that doesn't have the strength of a smaller joint and you can get high angularity joints. but they are bigger I am running heims on my Drag link on my blazer and Havent had any problems at all :rotfl: :rotfl:
