I was at Wal Mart tonight to go shopping with my wife and neice(how the hell do you spell that) and nephew some of you know that I am sick have been for sometime now and sometimes I cant walk too far. Well as would be on a busy Christmas season night all of the little electric scooters I use sometimes were gone so I sat down to wait for one. All of their wheelchairs were gone too. Well I asked the old guy (greeter) to see if they had one and if not please let me know when one was available. Well two poeple both obviosly in need of them also were informed of them being available before me. I was told they needed them more than me. This didn't bug me that much until now. I look healthy no obvious physical signs anything is wrong with me. Does that give a middle aged fat lady( mabey she was fat because something was wrong or mabey she just overate) the right to shop before me. Anyway I ended up not being able to shop with my wife at all and that pissed me off. It has taken me several months to get a handicapped sticker (still don't actually have it) for my car why because of my age. I know a 62 year old that got one because she has a bad knee. And trust me I know this person and her knee still allows her to walk quite a distance. This kind of stuff just pisses me off. Anyway I will call Wal Mart tommorow and whine if anyone wants to know I will let them know what happens. Thanks for letting me rant :banghead: :banghead:
Sorry to hear that you have been sick, I hope that the holidays will cheer you up a little. That really sucks about the whole scooter ordeal, what gets me is that overweight thirtysomething person usually has nine kids with them blocking about three rows yelling across the store for more oreos instead of maybe a bottle of shampoo for a change, complaining to a seventeen year old worker that the wheelchair seat is to small while they probably just wrote a bad check to cover it all. Yeah, I was just in Walmart tonight too.
