i just picked up a dana 44 front end and a ford 9in rear end out of a early 70's f 100. im going to put them under my 94 ranger but i would like to convert the front axle to disc brake and get rid of the drums. has anyone done this before? can anyone tell me what i need to do swap in the disc brakes. ive seen the kits but im going to isu and im on a limited budget so hopefully theres another way...?

okay, here is the low down. Spindles, calipers and pads, and Backing plates from a 1972 to early 1976 Chev 4x4 1/2 ton. hub rotor assembly from a 79 Ford 1/2 4x4. Brake hose from the chevy also. All the stuff is available new from any parts store except the spindles and backing plates. Some grinding on the knuckle for caliper clearance is required.

Or you can get the knuckles out from any disc brake ford prior to 1980.:thumb:

You can stop by Electric Service and look at my conversion on my EB if you want to.
