We are pulling out the D44, replacing it with a king pin ford high pinion D60.

We are also pulling out the manual steering, and replacing it with 79 ford bronco pwr steering.

This truck needed to be lifted in the front as well as the spring hangers had to be outboarded for the new axle.



Some more pics here....We arent done with it but we are taking pics along the way.:D





We are having to make some custom shackles:D





All welded up, waiting for a cool gusset:D

Finished up the steering on this thing...It rolls out of the shop today :thumb:


1ton TRE's, 1.25" .250 wall DOM tubing.








At full droop we still dont bottom out the TRE.

OK man, you made up my mind. You're gonna have to hook me up with some of that.

Couple questions though.

1. Are those Chevy TREs?

2. Do you need the truck at your shop to make the DOM links? (thinking about measurements here)

3. If those are indeed Chevy TREs, I'd need to re-taper the knuckles and pitman, right? Any idea where I can get a reamer for this. Getting my junk down to the shop to get this done isn't an option right now.

If you don't mind, PM me the price on the DOM and TREs ready to bolt on.
