I (we) installed a new clutch in my bronco and now I have bad chatter when taking off in 1st. doah It is pretty bad and I have to really feather the gas to get going smoothly. I think I may have warped the pressure plate. Does this seem likely, or could it be something else? If you have any experience or ideas please post them for me. Thanks!

Did you do anything to the pressure plate? I've had that happen with slightly burned pressure plate and new clutch. I have learned to at least take a handsander to it to remove the burnt spots.

Was the clutch disc a NEW disc or Rebuilt --- I run into this problem with Reman clutches all the time because of the used springs being different spring rates also did you replace the pilot bushing or bearing thats also a number one cause of "clutch chatter"
