how are ya'll doing,
this is my first post and had a simple question. i have a 1975 k10 and had to use my bumper to pull it out of the mud last weekend. well is pretty torn up now and was wondering if an 80's bumper would bolt up, or would i have to get the mounts for it too?
thanks alot, hope to be posting here quite often.

Welcome to the board. :thumb:

As far as I know the bumpers will work just fine. As long as its not a Blazer or something. The frames in the rear are the same so I dont think you should have any problems.

Oh I see.

The front frame horns are different on the very end. The '80 and down are closed and rounded off with the bumper bolting directly to the frame. The '81 and up are open ended and are cut off at an angle. The bumper is a different shape and bolts on using brackets. So its not a direct switch between the two. Good luck with it.

Unfortanately your right, the 80 won't work with the 75. You will need to make or modify the brackets on it... The conection to the frame is off, not sure on the measurments right now, but... I do know for sure they are off. When I find out the distance, I will get back to you.

Sounds like you fixed the problem anyways...
