I wouldnt mind making it an annual thing. I'll bring my wife and kids next time though.

We did drive up that Meat Grinder one also. We didnt do the extra credit as it was getting dark and we were pooped. That first water fall was fun. :thumb:

I didnt get home untill 3:30 in the morning. The clutch safty switch went out on me at Twin Falls and I had to figure that one out.

Carnage Trip (literally!)

It was a great time, Matt. Thanks for joining us! The pictures look great. Thanks again for your help with the winch. I was in a tight spot with all 4 wheels off the ground. Apparently, I could use some sliders. Not a single body panel was spared. Who'd a thought? Until next time.................

hmm here's a pic of the before mentioned spin rock into bad spot, sit right smack on top of it, and plug trail incident.

I still had a good time even though I bent the tie rod 3 times, bent the drag link, killed 3 steering stabilizers, poped a bead, alternator puked, over heated the motor, played bumper cars and lost............. I think I still came out better than some other people though.

That armor was awsome! I could take lines without worry and I used the rocker protection constantly. It would have been a much different trip without it. I even have rock rash on the part the goes over the tailights.

Well Worth every penny. :deal: :thumb:

Now that I am inspired to work on my blazer what size tubing is that? I know you said it was .120 wall but what is the diameter of it 1 5/8? I think I am going to break down and buy a bender but I need to know which die to get.

The cage is 1 3/4" O.D.x.120 wall HREW tubing.

The outside stuff is all 1 3/4" O.D x.218 wall. sch. 80 pipe.

I thought about 2" but it just looks large on some setups and I was thinking some about the weight added. I didnt want 1.5" as it just seems small to me. Just visual reasons there nothing else. I am sure it would all work fine.

I'm glad that the thick pipe was used for the outside protection. I pounded it a few times and no dents.

My sliders are made of 1 1/2 " sch 40 pipe and the square is 3/16" X 2" and I have beat the piss out of them. I think I will build my cage like yours.
