Well, the meeting went well on Saturday night, would have like to see some more club members there then just myself and Alicia. Hopefully we'll show more support as a club at the september run.
There were a ton of CJ's, YJ's, and TJ's there, kinda made my fullsize beater feel outta place... :banghead: I tried most everything I thought I could make with my truck, and ended up with a just a few "rub marks" :banghead:
Where to start, I dented the drivers and passengers doors, crushed both saddle tanks, dented and bent the rear driveline, dented a muffler, damaged the rear pinion yoke, dented the passeger rocker, and speared the drivers rocker with a big rock, and worst of all, I BROKE A GAS CAP!!! :scared: :thumb: i think I got everything.
The other carnage on the trial that I know of was a broken fornt 60 outer shaft, rear 60 shaft, dana 35 shaft, and damaged front pinion yoke.
Here's just a couple of the pics.........I was amazed at the capability of all the rigs
I thought you did pretty darn well for open diffs!
I spit out some Ujoint caps and broke the little tab off that holds the cap into place. Also killed one of the ujoint straps. I had extra parts so we put it back together and the welding you see was tacking the cap into place. The fix lasted fine the rest of the day. 8)
some of those pics look really familiar, where did you guys end up wheeling? i am assuming north of the bridge, but can anyone provide and better details (like when did you turn off of the paved road, left or right side of the road) because of the canyon walls in the pics i would assume right side of the road, but did you leave the pavement to the left or right? just trying to get an idea of where these were taken, i am looking for some new wheeling areas
Hell, we were on both sides of the road, I couldn't really give ya any directions though, just kinda followed the rig in front of me. Maybe contact the local club to see about joining up with them for their trail rides! That way you can help to support the association as well... :thumb:
