Ive decided I may not change the front clip on this blazer... it has a perfect grill area and chrome bumper... this blazer really is in good shape for its age! I need to know what TC it has in it tho, behind the 350. Also, the PO tipped it over on its side sometime, and the pass. side windshield frame is bent in about 1/2 inch with a crease in it about half way up. Is there anyone that could fix that? How hard would it be to cut a section out of a pickup window frame and weld it in? Also, the door is messed up in the same area.. would a pickup door work if I cut it where the blazer door is cut? Mainly, I need to know of someone who would do the welding for me that wouldn't charge me out the A$$ for it.

Good money says that you have a 203 transfer case there. Not bad when you put on hubs and the part time kit. I think you might need a post from a similer Blazer. I believe those older ones are 3 layer metal to be stronger to hold itself up while the trucks are 2 layer as there is a whole cab for support. You can cut a regular door to work. You just cut up from the end of the wing window and I think up slightly from the base of the window opening on the rear.

I have plans on converting mine to a full top like the 73-75 Models.

Call a cheaper body shop. I bet if you pull the door ans the windshield for them, It wouldnt be too bad. Basically save them some prep work.

body shop

yeah.. the windshield is cracked up, so, off to the trash it goes.. even tho the blazer pillar is stronger, do you think the pickup one would still fit? i have no idea where i cold find a donor blazer that is 73-75... this is only the second one i've ever seen around here.. eventually it will have a buncha tube framing in it... I plan on getting a 14 ton tube bender when school starts back up in a month. this bender will handle up to 3" diameter SOLID steel... should make for some fun projects!

4Wheel parts is most likely the cheapest place to order one. You might get lucky at the JunkYard. for the frame maybe...
