Hey all just thought I would let you know that a 1 ton 14b and a 3/4 ton 14b have different spring perch mounts on them the 1 ton is about 3" narrower than a 3/4 ton. I don't know if this is true on all 3/4 and 1 ton trucks but it is on a 85 military truck (1 ton) and a 83 3/4 ton :banghead: :banghead: :rotfl: :rotfl:

There is at least one more thing too the brakes are bigger on a 1 ton I don't know about overall diameter but the drums are much wider than a 3/4 tons :rotfl: :rotfl:

That can differ from axle to axle. I have seen the 3/4 tons with smaller brakes, but the 14 blt I got out of a 79 K20 had the same size drums as my 81 K30.

I ditched the heavy drums and went to discs and couldnt be happier. :thumb:

Cool, you wont regret it. I would suggest you get an adjustable proportioning valve. I havent put one on my truck yet, but the rear brakes can be pretty touchy.
