Re: Stop Here and Introduce Yourself!

Hey I'm Jason.

Originally from Wallace, Idaho...now living in Portland, Oregon.

I run rjroffroad.com, a very possible soon to be vendor for planet4x4, just gotta work out some details.

I started wheeling with my brother in law Jerry Robinson in the Tillamook Forest, which graduated into following him into Team Trophy Challenge as a spectator, and into some UROC events in Utah as Crew for Trailready. He also did some Ultimate Adventure and Vendor Challenge stuff too. Aside from that I've worked with him doing alot of custom fab work.

I worked fab production for Warrior Products, and now am starting RJR Off-Road.

As for vehicles, we're amongst that small group of freaks that buys Comanche's. I'm looking for pictures of some of the stuff we've done, ever since the old site went down i realized all the pics were online, ill see what i can find tho

here we go...

this was taken at extreme challenge 2003

Welcome to the site.

Can you tell us more about the extreme challenge? We have been kicking around the idea of hosting an event over here.

Re: Stop Here and Introduce Yourself!

Extreme Challenge was a vendor based run that Jerry caught an invite to back in 03. It was basically a medium sized group of vendors invited to a private run. I can't really remember how Jerry got into it, I'll have to ask him the next time I talk to him, he's living up in Olympia a few hours away now.

Re: Stop Here and Introduce Yourself!

The last pic is of my latest breakage. Didn't know that the 30RH Auto trans thats in there has no check valve or anything on the breather. It filled with water and I lost 2nd and 3rd. I think the governor is clogged, but it may need a rebuild. Haven't fooled with it, still saving $$$$.

Re: Stop Here and Introduce Yourself!

Hey all 'yall, name's Jake, single and Not In Idaho...lol...(wish i was). I'm from Pekin, Illinois, just stumbled onto this site. I might move to the NorthWest someday though...rode a Mountain Bike from Post Falls to Seattle once, fantastic scenery.

I drive an '84 XtraCab Toyota 4x4, lifted with 31x12.5x15 Swamper Thornbirds, 4:10 stock, soon to be locked front-rear Aussie style, with 4:88's and 35x12.5x15 Kumho Venture MT's with Staun pneumatic beadlocks.

It's more of an Expedition-ready Daily Driver than a mudder, with (2) 30-gallon fuel tanks, custom 3/16" bumpers, onboard-air, 40# propane tank, full-length cargo rack, Performance 22R, (bored 30-over, 261c cam, 32-36 Weber carb, etc.

I run a fabrication shop here in Illinois, PointBlank Fabrication, specializing in 79-95 Toyota pickups. I rebuild/ replace frames, rebuild motors, build Crewcabs from standard cab trucks (doing another over the winter), build custom aluminum high-capacity fuel tanks...if you can dream it, i can build it. I also have enough Toy trucks people think i'm starting a junkyard.

This is a pic of my '84 when it was partially done...(like it'll ever Really be DONE, right?) And some pics of other stuff i've done...

Re: Stop Here and Introduce Yourself!

I have been checking out this website and figured that I might as well register.
I live in Central Virginia. Been wheeling since I was able to drive around the farm. Belong to Old Dominion Binders Association. We are a bunch of IH freaks. We camp and wheel a few times a year. Right now I am wheeling a Scout II that has been cut up and modified mostly because of the rust .
Most of the wheeling around here is wooded trails, cut-overs, hill-climbs, and of course mud. Not many rocks where I live but they are not more than a couple hours away.

Peace,
Muddy Scout

Re: Stop Here and Introduce Yourself!

Hello all. My name is Dustin and I am here in Mountain Home. I have been hiding around the boards for a while and decided to join. I have a 77 F250 highboy. It has a 400, NP435, NP205 and D60's all around. I also have a 94 Exploder, auto that the wif drives. My DD is a 2004 Ranger 4x4 with the 4L backed by a 5-speed. I am hoping once I get my 77 running good an replace the manual steering with power steering I may be able to go on a trail run or 2(315/75/16's suck trying to trun manually ).
