Just got off the phone with Lumpy. For those of us who don't know, there is NOT a fee for passengers. This is great for anyone who can't take their junk, (me) to the trail, but still wants to tag along. I was fortunate enough to be offered a spot in a rig, so good luck to everyone else.:thumb::beer:

Most of the participants log on to planet. Can we get a list of all the people that registered posted? just as a confirmation for everyone.

My question for you is are these trails on public land?:what: Because if they are than who thinks they can tell people they can or can't go.

And if someone wanted to go but got turned down because the trail is so called FULL, we would be happy to have you along at the Rubicon. Last i checked, that trail doesn't limit the number of rigs that can be on it.:goodjob:

Your little 4x4 run sounds like a bunch of political crap if you ask me.:rolleyes:

Pat, to answere your questions these trails are on public land and the reason trailleaders can tell people they can or can't go is to make the run enjoyable for eveyone. Placing rigs on trails that the rig is not ready for will only make it a long and frustrating day for everyone.

Registration opened up on March 1st that gave everyone two and a half months to get their registration mailed in in time to be placed. Did you send yours in on time? And if not why are you complaining?

I am sure that the year your club is chosen to host the Association Run all of this will make more sense.

Let's play nice now, we are trying to do the best we can to keep it SAFE and FUN for all of us who enjoy going out and wheeling. Besides, it isnt our little 4x4 run, it is the Idaho State 4x4 Association's (which I do believe your club is also a member of) run.

The Rubicon Trail (ElDorado county road) even has requirements when organized groups run it and it is closed to anyone not in that group at that time. i.e. Jeepers Jamboree and the like.
Simple, don't want to follow the requirements? Then why bother going? It is a State 4x4 Association run hosted by a local club. It is your choice whether to support the state association and local clubs or not. A lot of folks spend a ton of their own money and donate an unbelievable amount of time and effort to make this run happen as best as they can. Why try to screw that up?

Thanks Neal, I was biting my tongue...... didn't want to get the thread deleted by the powers that be by posting......!

I propose that we just drop it and get back on track before it digresses any further.

On another note, That Mom, is Jeff getting sent out or is he getting to stay home this weekend? Hope to be able to see ya!

Wow, what crazy posts.

The purpose of this get together is to keep the trails open for all of us to use. Responsible wheeling is something all of us have to keep on our minds. Sometimes this leads to running trails a limited amount of times, or with a limited number of attendants. We had planned for roughly an average of 20 rigs per trail, so this is why we needed early registration.

We have assigned trails by those that registered, and simply posted up the trails that still had openings.

Having too many people on a trail, no matter what it is, does not make it fun for anyone.

I think by the post, some of us assumed he was affiliated with HBRK, I am glad this has been cleared up, because this was no attitude to have. This event is designed to unite the clubs and its' members, not split them up. I know that some people have been upset about us requiring insurance, and I know this has alienated some. I assure you that nobody was specifically targeted by this. It was simply a way for us to make an attempt to cover our butts in the event of something going wrong.

I was super impressed with Star (rcksql) when he posted up the run to Rubicon, that was extremely professional.

I hope this clears the air a little bit about the situation.

I apologize to HBRK by assuming he was a member. I read the part where he said "we would be happy to have you along at the Rubicon" so I just assumed he was a member of HBRK (you guys know I love ya) since they are the ones going there. I ment no disrespect to anyone from HBRK. And Star, as of right now we are planning on seeing you guys next weekend unless things change.

I personally didn't think it was a personal thing I was initially trying to figure out what the rules were going to be and why the change from previous years.

Lumpdog, I sent you an email and then read this thread. Will there be a problem with me showing up the morning of the 13th and paying the registration before we hit the trails. I planned on running the difficult trails, let me know if there will be space available. Some general directions once i'm in mountain home won't hurt either. Thanks.

Thanks for the interest LB! I responded to your email this morning as well.

Just print out the registration form and send it in ASAP. You will find the info on Wild West Off Roaders "Idaho's Largest 4wd Club" (http://www.wildwest4wd.com)

You can look and see what trails we currently have openings in. Late registrations are first come, first serve, so enter as soon as you can. Coming in for only Friday is just fine, I don't expect everyone to make every day of the event.

:darn::darn::darn:Oh my gosh I just read all this LOL ( Pat stop being a trouble maker :> ya big butt head hahaha :shame::darn:) I am really trying to go. it would be really cool if I could get rid of the kids for a day and ride with someone hint hint, If anybody has a spot for me that would be SOOOOO COOOOLLL!!! but I know it is last minute and all but it can't hurt to ask! I have a little sami that I can take, if its not to late to regester. Yea I thought I was going to the rubi but I get a little tired of all the long out of town trips.

Marisa, I'm sure there will be plenty of open seats for you. Even if you cant make any of the runs, you (and Todd) should bring the kids for the Saturday night dinner and raffle. We have a bounce house for the little kids and we also have the pool (but Todd wont be allowed to do cannon balls into the water). :rotfl::thumb:

That sounds cool, Todd will be at the Rubicon, I might just do that. I will look on your sight to find out the cost for dinner and location and definatly be there for the dinner and raffle. I also want to represent the HBRK club.

Marisa, I'm not sure if it was posted anywhere but we are not charging a set fee for the dinner but there will be a food donation bucket.
For anyone who is just planning on attending the dinner, we just ask that a donation be made, raffle tickets be bought, and a side dish be brought for the potluck.
